Hi,
I am planning to buy a Liteon 16x/48x DVD ROM drive.
Can anybody confirm me if this drive will work as a normal
CD-ROM drive in Win 95 or Win 98.
I can't find this info. in the Liteon web site.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, it will work as a normal cd-rom drive in win95/98. Even works in dos as a normal cd-rom drive with generic cd-rom drivers. At least it should. I see no reason why not. My dvd drive (Pioneer dvd-a05s) works that way.

They work in exactly the same way as any standard CDROM drive except they can also read DVD media, similarly CDRW's do the same as all CDROM drives with the added ability of writing and rewriting CD's and so on...
Get the pic ;)
