elo again :D

I'm mainly into hardware, but one thing I dont understand is voltage. Now I read somewhere that there are 3volt cards. and 1.5volt graphics cards? Am I on the right lines?

Anyway, I also read that having the wrong one can cause u alot of trouble.

So, I am about to purchase a R9500 pro, and I duno if I need to adjust anything on my motherboard. I assuem I'll be ok, but I want to check...

My mobo is the Asus A7V8x.
I'm currently running a 128mb Radeon 9000, and its fine, so I presume the new one will be.... can anyone confirm or deny please? :)

cheers, Matt.

You'll be fine. :)

It's just those AGP 2x vid cards you had to watch out for. These are 3.3v. AGP 4x vid cards can be dual 3.3v and 1.5v, which will automatically be set to the appropriate setting on the appropriate motherboard.
