Go here,,http://www.aida32.hu/aida32.php

and download and install aida32. Then run it, you'll have all kinds of info on your system then. This is a really neat little app.:D

Hey,
Did get some info from AIDA 32,,, But aided with this info still hasn't helped in my search for: A processor upgrade to the max for my GATEWAY SELECT 1100 CPU: It has a AMD ATHLON-PECM THUNDERBIRD 1.1ghz processor with a MS-6330 v2.1 mobu. Is there a site that can actually tell me what upgrade you can or can't go up too! Gateway is being stubborn about info regarding upgrade of PROCESSOR and give me the runaround several times.

You can try an fcc lookup

rangeral,
SORRY about the xtra post in other forum! just frustrated with gateway and the fact that I can't get any info on upgrading this processor! When going to the fcc what am I looking for ,all info on cpu? What am I supposed to do once I get there?
TIA FLYANA

the mainboard you have is a Microstar. You can visit their site and get the info you need. If I am right I had one of those earlier boards (version 1.0, the ones that had the problems with the chipset ( VIA ) and have upgraded since) the 6330 that is and if I remember right you can go up to a 1.3 TB or Duron on that board.

here is a link to the board but is for version 5. It states it can go as high as AMD's 2000+. You might want to look up your version number for the correct info and you can do that by going to the support page at the site or looking under archives in the motherboard section.
