oh and

I am not hating

just trying to make you understand where america stands in the world. Americans need to wake up. So many americans are brainwashed into believing that their country is doing well when it isnt.

Ever seen a Naza Propaganda film? I have, the film i saw is banned and only a few people where allowed to see it after 6 hours of intensive talking how propaganda works and how it influences you.

After the film i felt good about community and the german country, a strong country, a strong leader, a REICH which will rule the world.... dam its propaganda! It so brainwashes you.

It was purely amazing knowing what nazi germany did, getting lectured on propaganda, then watching the film and becomming a follower or the 3rd Reich. Obviously it took me a few seconds to realise i was brainwashed but it was great education.
I can fully understand now the power of properganda, not that i cant be influenced by it any more. One man managed with the help of a few people on his side to win over a country and nearly all its people where blindly following him

Did you know that the ceremony scene at the end of Star Wars is a shot-for-shot remake of a similar scene in the Nazi propaganda film Triumph of the Will ?

I wouldn't worry about us Americans getting brainwashed. We get both sides of the story here if anyone cares to look for it. Funny think freedom of the press, you get to pick and choose what you want to read. Foreigners think all we get is CNN. That's cause that's all they get. :p

Yes, Steve I read them. I thought they were very mature responses.

Triumph of the Will (http://www.filmeducation.org/secondary/s_archive/documentary/docs/triumph.html) Makes for an interesting read.

Just a couple quotes from the page.

"Both Hitler and Goebbels, Hitler’s brilliant propaganda minister, believed that cinema was potentially the most powerful mass medium of the new age. Goebbels perceptively realised that the public had little appetite for Brownshirt cinema epics and therefore exploited the use of entertainment as film propaganda. The films commissioned by Goebbels were about the need to mentally and emotionally conquer the German people for the Nazi Revolution. "

"'Shortly after he came to power Hitler called me to see him and explained that he wanted a film about a Party Congress, and wanted me to make it. My first reaction was to say that I did not know anything about the way such a thing worked or the organisation of the Party, so that I would obviously photograph all the wrong things and please nobody - even supposing that I could make a documentary, which I had never yet done. Hitler said that this was exactly why he wanted me to do it: because anyone who knew all about the relative importance of the various people and groups and so on, might make a film that would be pedantically accurate, but this was not what he wanted. He wanted a film showing the congress through a non-expert eye, selecting just what was most artistically satisfying - in terms of spectacle, I suppose you might say. He wanted a film which would move, appeal to, impress an audience which was not necessarily interested in politics.'
Leni Reifenstahl"

'In one form or another, directly or indirectly, all films are propagandist. The general public is influenced by every film it sees. The dual physio-psychological appeal of pictorial movement and sound is so strong that if it is made with imagination and skill, the film can stir the emotions of any audience.'
Paul Rotha

Some clips (http://history.acusd.edu/gen/filmnotes/triumph.html) from the movie.

Americans, at least the GP don't get all sides of the story. It's all smoke and mirrors and diversion, slight of hand if you will.

Years back somebody looked into federal spending and discovered that the govt. was "paying" ridiculous prices for things like hammers and case hardened bolts etc. And by ridicilous I mean $27,000 for a hammer, and not some exotic rare alloy specially designed hammer. To date nobody knows where that $$ was really spent because something else came up to take our attention away from that issue.

We get lied to on a daily basis, drugs from columbia to buy weapons for other countries, we get told the economy is healing by the elected officials while food pantry lines form across the country, and the band played on.
