Szech 05-05-2001, 05:20 PM I have a drawer of spare computer parts, and included in this drawer are a number of heatsinks. Here's a short list of things you can do with them: 1) Put them on your video card's processor, or cut one up with a hacksaw and put them on your video card's RAM. 2) Replace that puny greenie on your motherboard with it (the chipset gets pretty hot). 3) Make it into a water block. Some people have done this epoxying plastic panels to the sides and top, and they work really well. Or put it on any other heatsource where it will fit. Richard_Cranium72 05-05-2001, 06:20 PM After the unit's been running hard for an hour or so, feel around inside for hot areas. If it's Hot, Cool it. My theory anyway. I put a large copper HS on my HP's chipset SIS5598 cause it got so very hot.. club_med 05-06-2001, 05:36 AM Great ideas, thanks people.
