I've had a consistent problem since I installed my mouse on my ABIT KT7. The mouse will periodically PAUSE--then resume movement. With my USB mouse this problem was so bad I was forced to stop using it. It occured whether the mouse was using a USB port or PS/2.
Now, back on a PS/2 mouse, the problem was better--and after installing a non-standard mouse driver, is almost gone--but not QUITE.
My question is, why am I having this issue in the first place? In a further wrinkle, when I try to print, this computer loses a good 85% of its power--slows to a crawl.
here's the system:
Duron 700 @ 910
ABIT KT7 RAID
GeForce2 PRo
128 Meg RAM
5400 RPM Quantum lct10 HDD
Anybody got any ideas?
