cellular phone plans

Have been offered a cellualr service as follows:
50 local minutes monthly/fee phone/no roaming fee for surrounding states (New England)..all for $15/month but 2 year contract...thru Cingular 1.

Does this sound like a good deal?

Where can i compare cell. phone plans/rates?

3 months and is way too much already

don't fall for that Contract stuff

they will suck you dry, and stick you up way up if you plan to leave, change or get another plan

and well... the rest, as usual, just a big bad legal SCAM

Actually, when it comes to contracts, T-Mobile (formerly VoiceStream) has some of the best. I had to sign a one year contract, but I get 500 anytime, unlimited nights and weekends, free roaming and long distance, voicemail, etc... And it's all digital. The great thing about them is that if you decide you don't need that many minutes, or you need more minutes, call them and you can move up or down in their plans with no penalties and no additional fees or contracts. I got all this for about $45/month plus I got a free phone.

Verizon national. 400 anytime, 1000 cell to cell, no roaming or long distance from anyhere in the U.S. to anywhere in the U.S. (continental), free nights and weekends, voice mail, caller id, caller id on hold, call fowarding, conference calling, $39.95 a month. It's cheaper than a home phone.
