I have bought two boxes of GigaStorage blank CD. One of them is 12X conmpatiable adn the other is 16X compatiable. Unforunately, I mixed all of teh disc together.

May I know is there any ways or software help me to test thjose blank Cd without burning them and let me know which dis is 12X compataible and which one is good for 16X.

Please advise and many thanks in advance.

I have so-called 8X CDRs that write just fine at 16X. I don't think it matters. The software should tell you if you need to set the write speed lower.

Sort them by the numbers in the center of the disk,test burn 1 from each of the 2 groups at 16x,the one that works is the 16
the other is 12 and if they both work,great
you have 2 boxes that work at 16x.

What burning program do you have ? Newest Nero contain utility (Nero CD check (?), can't remember the corrent name) that can tell you all about your medias ...
