turned on my backup and nothing but a black screen, swaped out vid card, and monitor, no help, PS seems OK as lights and fans work, HD seems to just keep running and CD door wont open. any Ideas appreciated.

Hmm...how 'old' is the backup?...maybe the bios battery?
