i just downloaded sandra, and i had been telling a couple people that i'd post my benchmarking stats here so here they are.
CPU Dhrystone 1475 MIPS
FPU Whetstone 732 MFLOPS
I'm pretty happy with it.
P3 550, 256 sdram, riva tnt2 ultra, etc.

Say..anyone got a Cel 366@550? Im intrested in the diffs with same FSB/stats, etc.

I have one but my computer is on Hiatus right now, think I got a virus and its infecting my new hard drive that I just bought. It screwed up my old hard drive and it must have stayed in the system somewhere, cause now im having problems with stuff on this hard drive now too. If I get it working Ill find sandra and let you know.

This is from a C366 @ 563, but I've got so much junk running, it's probably like having a 540 MHz Celeron. Anyway, here ya are:
1397 MIPS
690 MFLOPS
I just did this on the fly, so it doesn't mean much. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

socket 370 366 @550mhz. I just ran the cpu benchmark on the fly with everything open including seti,ie5.0, and netscape:
1498 mips
740 mflops

Me too, everything open (9 apps) except seti
PIII 450 @504
256mg PC100 222 620
1348 MIPS
673 MFLOPS
I seem to remember 1630 MIPS when I had Sandra loaded. It was not accurate for the disk access speed and had strange hardware recomendations. I have a P3 450 at 559/124.
I am nothing but pleased with mine!

Ok, just downloaded it and ran the CPU bench.
Here goes:
CPU Dhrystone 1580
FPU Whetstone 780
This with 192M ram, UltraTNT2 at 175/200, 559Mhz (124x4.5) CAS3 PC-100 ram set at CAS2. Default 2.0v CPU voltage and SETI running as normal.
If I were you, I'd kick that CPU up to at least 616 or higher! Mine will do 600 but the ram doesn't like it too much and gives divide by errors(but thats at 133FSB). 682Mhz is even possible for you at 124Mhz FSB with a better fan on an open heatsink (the stock heatsink is great without the fan/shroud it comes with, but only if you mount a really good fan to it.)
You would be amazed at the performance increase!

hmm Isnt the CPU bench just for the CPU? like nothing else on it matters at all?
hmm
anyways here I go...
PII 466/133
CPU Dhrystone 1271 MIPS
FPU Whetstone 626 MFLOPS
PII SUCKS http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Hava nice day!

Unfortunately, I am limited by my BX6 board's settings; my only next option is 133mhz and I'm not going THERE again ;-) Those are some nice stats tho BBA!

I think the FSB matters. Higher mem speeds, less time cpu waits for data fetches, etc...
Also, a lower rated CPU has faster L2 cache timing latencies, because Intel tends to increase CAS on a CPU line the higher the CPU speed rating is, it allows them to get better stability at high speeds and better performance at lower speeds. So a P3 450 at 559 will definitely outperform a P3 550 at 550, but at 600 plus, the 550 will live comfortably while the 450 is really stressing the L2 a little too much.
Thanks Socalgal.
You know, I'm thinking about buying another P3 450 and a dualee board. Know any that do overclocking?

I wouldn't mind trying a SY 6BA+III to venture a little further out in FSB land. But for now...
Can't say that I do, BBA, I haven't looked at dual boards. I'm sure if they're out there, you'll find one just fine. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/wink.gif

The Shuttle HOT-641 that I reviewed a month or two back is the one of the sweetest Dual board for overclocking that there is on planet earth. It has support for almost as many FSBs that the BX6-2 does, and the one I miss the most is the 129 MHz option.
It even has some voltage adjustment settings, allowing for 1%, 2%, and 20% overvoltage (if memory serves). All in all, it's a sweet board for dual overclocking.
