That's terrible! A bunch of young nerds with nothing better to do than to crack codes. Probably the same kids who hack into places they aren't supposed to be in, and create help desk inconveniences by sending viruses and the like........

It was cracked over a month ago, as anyone with Bearshare (gnutella) could have told you.
Those that do the searching, do the finding. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Your, right......wait a minute..................."Mom, can I stay on the computer just a little longer?!?!?.................................... (Mom) - "Wait till your Dad get's home.....and you need to finish your formula first!".........................................."Gee, your right Mom, you know best! I'm just trying to out this hip new forum with a lot of kids my age who are really cool and crack codes and hack and are really nerdy and stuff!!!!".........(Mom) - "We'll then, ok, just a little while longer....I'll bring down your formula and you can drink it at the computer....just don't spill any on the keyboard, or you will have to open another discussion on how to get a keyboard to work with Carnation Good Start in it."..............."Great, thanks Mom, and remember, kids, obey your parents and do what is right....."

Sounds like it will come in handy to me. I have a motto: test to destuction. I tend to have to reformat/reinstall the os partition quite a lot.

Probably the same kids who hack into places they aren't supposed to be in, and create help desk inconveniences by sending viruses and the like........

if it wasn't for hackers how would be able to find and fix problems with windows? also if you don't have the virus protection needed to protect yourself and you get infected you shouldn't be on the internet.

Problems in OSs and other programs are most often found by legit. users and/or organizations and fixed through patches and service packs created by the vendor. Regarding virus protection - 1. Even the best virus protection software running at the server level to protect a company and also at the workstation level (or at a home){with the most up-to-date virus definitions} is of no use when a brand new virus comes out and your virus protection vendor is scrambling to create a virus definition, fix, and patch for you. 2. Lets talk about the real issue - legality, and ethics. Is it legal and ethical to create trojans, viruses, etc. to destroy information on computers. No on both accounts. It is definitely not legal, and subjectively speaking, it is not ethical. 3. Everyone has the right to be on the internet, just like everyone has a right to the free information through the TV, regardless of whether or not your virus program is up-to-date.

Hey guys, everyone has their own opinion, no matter how silly it seems to the opposing side. But, we do seem to get along most of the time, don't we?

No matter what vendors do to "protect" themsleves, there will be people who feel it is "over the top" and unnecessary. And there will ALWAYS be people who find real challenge and personal pride in "cracking" or overriding the new "parameters" that have been set.

A lot of people feel that MS did in fact "go over the top" with the new OS. I don't know all of the ins and outs, but from what I hear, I personally would not enjoy trying to convince an MS operator that I'm not running the OS on two computers, and in fact I only upgraded several of my components!

Anyway, we're all at this party together, so why not have another cup of punch and light up a La Gloria Cubana with me?

Have fun

also if you don't have the virus protection needed to protect yourself and you get infected you shouldn't be on the internet. Just wait and see how you feel when a hacker finds a fault in your OS and it's protection and plants a lovely little formatting bug on your system. It's easy to ignore a problem when your not the victim of it. Hackers, crackz makes piracy easier and the more piracy increases the more games prices will increase to cover costs.
