Hi all!

I am upgrading a friend's computer and have put a Shuttle AK32 motherboard and AMD 2200+ cpu in it. I have upgraded the power supply to a 430 w power supply. The computer has an adaptec 2940uw scsi card in it and all scsi harddrives and cdrws. The motherboard that upgraded from is a GA-7IXE4 and an athlon 1400. The problem is that no video shows up when the comp is turned on. I have not worked with scsi a whole lot and suspect that the board is not properly set take on the scsi drives and such. Any help would be appreciated.

No video means you're not POSTing. You can't POST without a video card. Make sure it's pushed all the way in with a snap. Loosen all motherboard screws in case you grounded the board. Use paper washers on the motherboard screws too.

If this fails, remove the board from the case, place it on a soft, non-conductive surface near the case and plug in the ATX power. Place the vid card in and connect the monitor. Connect the power. Nothing else needs to be connected. Press down hard on the vid card and use your screwdriver to short the POWER BUTTON pins. See if it POSTs.
