Adding a new memery acrd=Problem?

Hi, I was trying to add another memory card(DIMM 128 MB). After it was installed my computer did not recognize it. Moreover, my computer could not find the NIC. I had to take the new memery card out and re-installed the NIC and it worked fine.
It might be because of the BOIS settings. But I do not know how to set up the BOIS to recognize the new memery.
I still want to upgrate my memory but I think I should get some help on this issue before I take off the case cover.

what model and chipset is your motherboard? Sounds like you might have gotten high density ram and that fouled up the plumbing. how many chips are on the dimm?

The DIMM I bought was 'GB Micro 128MB PC-133 RAM'-168 Pin??. The number of the chips was the same as the one already installed by the vender. For the info about the mother board I'll get it after I get home.

pc133 implies that it could be high density chips. check the amount of chips on each side of the dimm.
