Hey! Can I run defrag from dos? I'm running win98, and I'd like to see if defrag works any quicker from dos. As I recall, I could run scandisk from dos, but not defrag. Even by typing defrag, or defrag.exe.

Any input appreciated

okay, i've converted to fat32. Now, is there any way to do this? By the way, a friend of mine uses his machine to do personalized tee shirts, mugs, license plates by digitizing photos and transposing them to the items. He uses dos, and I'm not sure, but he may have removed win98 from his machine. What's he to do? He hasn't defragged in a coon's age! Matter of fact, he says defrag won't run for him either, so, I'm "assuming" he has fat 32 also.

What can we do?

Thanks for any input

As long as you are using Win98, then the DOS defrag file should work, if it does not, it will not mess up your system or anything, you will just get an error message.
