here's the deal.. I don't know **** about macs, but I got a dude to help me use a scanner at school connected to a mac to scan in some spectra (images) in *.tiff format. I think used a program called graphic converter to change the tiff file to a jpg file.
lastly, I used an ftp program to send the supposed jpg file to my web account. I just came home, and opend the web account and downloaded the files, and for whatever reason, they turn up as a *.JPG.bin file. well ****! I have tried to open them in various programs, and I'm having no luck.

I REALLY need this information so that I can analyze it and present it in class tomorrow. can someone please help me out here.

I'm dying
thanks

The first thing I'd try is changing the name to remove the .bin .

No, you can't just do that. The bin is for BinHex I think. It's compressed. This should do it: http://www.aladdinsys.com/expander/

Edit: because I felt like it.
