Mandrakesoft declared bankruptcy. It's hard to make money on something that everyone wants for free.

They declared bankruptcy on the 15th. But they're still developing the distro. That just put's off their creditors for awhile so hopefully they get a chance to reorganize. redhat and Suse are free and they havent gone under.

Hey guys I was wondering if you could suggest a Free Linux server flavor!?! I am used to WIN2K Adv. Server but want to make the switch, but I am weak as to the Unix type command lines, so I want something easy to configure!

Now where the heck do I down load it!!!!! I have a high speed line, so I could knock it out from a good ftp. Where I tried so far it says it will take 26 day!!!!!

Do I need a Enterprize addition?

It's all in the Mandrake 9.0 CD's. If during the install you choose the server groups thats what you'll get. Also try Mandrakes download page. It should only take about an hour or less per cd.
If your download manager is telling you 26 hrs how broad is your band. LOL.

Haha, true. One day though, I would love to see microsoft totally out of the picture and everyone using Linux on everything. That's like one of my dreams :) Someday I want my kids to say, "Hey dad, what's Windows like?" LoL.
