Have you ever tasted a raw olive straight off the tree, I have often wondered how many centuries it took to make them edible!

For those of us of a certain, smokey  generation, the following were oft times considered gustatorial delights:

- A-1 Sauce on rye bread sandwiches
- CheezeWhiz eaten from jar with a spoon
- Slim Jims, by the bunches
- Boone's Farm + any type of cracker/chip & cheese
- Mustard on anything
- Ketchup on anything
- Onion, salt and Mustard (or Ketchup) sandwiches
- Pepperoncini, straight from the jar
- Anchovies, right from the tin

I'm sure there were many others, but the short term memory has been compromized by active, repeated participation in herbal arson incidents a couple decades ago.

Anyway I'm quite partial to Oinion Bargies with Iranian Strawberry jam..........:) & not those Manky Bargies you get from the supermarket either.............. The propper super spicy jobbies

The kind of stuff you eat when they won't let you in the local indian for being too sloshed, so you have to settle for a take-a-way

The pickels and cheese taste better than it sounds. When my sister first showed it too me, I didn't what to take a bite. But after a week of her bugging me I finally tried a bight. It is really good, taste a lot different than what you would espect.

BTW, don't use really crappy cheese like KRAFT singles wraps, or american cheese.

Get yourself a big block of sharp cheeder cheese. :x Or some Marble-Jack:r

How I can identify with Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing, as an expatriate ¨Gringo¨in South America this is one of the food products I have travelers bring me from the US. I use it practically every day. The mix is not available here in stores.
When I serve it to my dinner guests, they go wild over the taste. Appears like Good Seasons or Hidden Valley would set up some kind of export marketing in S.A. Incidently, talking of wierd tastes, the locals here eat animals and PARTS of animals I have never heard of. The difference between a zoo here and in the US, included with a description of the animal on the cage, it has a recipe.
