Thats the kinda price cut that makes me wanna ditch my 1Ghz Duron for one of them 1.33Ghz Athlons...
But...no...must...resist...
Maybe If I cant find a buyer for ye old Duron eh?

With a Duron 750 at 40$, it makes you wonder why anyone would buy a Cyrix (Samuel II). Wasn't their whole selling point that the chip was less than 50$?

Now if board prices would come flying down too, there would be no excuse left for those Intel pushers.
You can put CyrixIII's in Integrated boards, making overall system costs less. Thats the main goal for value systems usually, low cost over performance. Theres no Duron integrated boards yet...Not like I want one, but Im sure the value market does.
Remember back in the BH6/P2B days when boards were 90 bucks when they came out?

GOOD NEWS Prices have fallen on the Athlon at the place I was going to buy my Duron (good prices and they ship to Canada). A 850mhz Athlon Thunderbird is now $87US!!!
