ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....... i was gonna buy the TBird 1.33ghz because i belived it's the fastest processor in the market. I know it can beat the p4 1.5GHz
I was just cheking some prices and this thing was there just near the athlon prices. Now i have a really evil urge to get the p4....... because i want THE FASTEST processor in the market..... or maybe i will wait until the EVIL MASTERS at AMD launch a better proc and defeat intel again.....
OH MAN.... i just put a hold on my tbird order (i just placed it yesterday) .....
Now i am confused...again

LOL..I know how you feel...but.. I made a vow a few years ago to never pay more than $200 Cdn for a processor..by the time you buy the latest and greatest, and actually get used to it, they seem to drop to that price anyway...guess I'll be waiting a bit longer.

I think there are a some things to consider if you havnt, is money an option? Wont you need to buy an expensive board, memory, heatsink and odd powersupply to go with it? And is it a good idea considering your software choices/use? Ive loved my Intel purchases tho few, and become most connected to AMD's chips since, due to being "frugal" yet performance oriented at the same time---again---is money an option? I know if it wasnt for me id probably have a P4 of choice in my stable...

Always remember software, the P4 runs like a p2 with a lot of code, and for the same price as a P4 @ 1.7, you can get and supercool a thunderbird to 1.7!

Half the cost and you get a T-bird 1.33 ($182) and it is faster or as fast as the PIV 1.7. And you don't have the Rambus problem. I have also hear drumors that Intel is going to rework the entire PIV line for DDR.
