I've got a card in an old motherboard that is in the SRAM slot but I don't have any sim. Which do I need??? Both?? Please let me know what each of these do.

wha? that didn't really make sense to me... just check your motherboard, it will eitehr say DIMM or SIMM slot near the slots, if you have a motherbook manual its even better.

unless you talking about DIMM and SIMM slot on a expension card?

basicly DIMM is faster and "wider in bit width" than SIMM
