OK, so genius here decided to install drivers for a epox mvp3g-m but used the disc from a MSI k7 pro. It's the same chipset. Via. I installed the driversto enable DMA.
Now the CD shows up, but does not read the disk. It's an old 8x generic CD. I went to log on to ask you guys about this, and at the AOL (I know, I know) flash screen the CD kicked in the disk that was in it.... This feels like the 3 stooges when the cook turned on the lights and the water came out of the bulb,,, OK so only 1 stooge here.....
Any suggestions except "don't quit you day job" greatly appreciated

Surreal,

Sorry I am not sure what to tell you my friend.

However this is more in reply to rlpos ... Didn't your mom ever tell you, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all?" Sorry, but that looks bad for sysopt when a person asks a resonable question and people give those stupid answers ... Just my two cents...

Not a problem, and thanks.
well I don't know what happened with the cd and the aol software, other than AOL kinda reminds me of Borg. I uninstalled the AOL and reloaded it and everything works now.
thanks

Cheese... The VIA 4-in-1 drivers are also for the MVP3 chipset as well. So you see... you DID install the correct drivers. But IIRC there are also a few extra patches you can get from VIA that are specifically for the MVP3 chipset. You might want to check out the VIA webpage and see.

Oh yeah... and don't quit your day job http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
