vhs to vcd

I bought the software program called dazzle and I cant figure out how to use it. What I want to do is put my homemade VHS tapes on vcd to watch on the DVD player. I have windows XP and a pretty new computer with 100 GB of free space. What is the easiest way to do this? Thanks alot for all your advice.
