document with attachment .email

Recently started receiving attachments on some emails with the document carrying the extension .email
I am operating with win 98 and when I attempt to open the file, I get an error message that no script engine exists for file extension .email
Does anyone have any idea how the attachment gets this extension and/or how to convert it and open it once it is received.

Be carefull with wierd file types like that. I've heard of allot of virusus like that. As for opening it. Get WinBoost, and tell it to enable the "open with..." feature. It will allow you to open any file with whatever program you like. Then open it with notpad or something like that. After reading a while you'll probably find something out about it!
