While I was out buying bagels a person gave me a huge speech about how Gaming ruins gamers minds... I'm like WTF are you talking about!

Gaming has helped me in these ways:

If I get angry I just game with my online buds, and bam my anger is gone...

Instead of smoking pot with my friends I play CS at Lanparties...

instead of spending money on drugs, I buy hardware so I can run the latest games...

Violent games ARE bloody, duh it makes it FUN, but I don't see anything wrong with it. Even marines use MA games so they get use the the gore when they go to war. It's human nature to kill another man, look at Lions, Tigers, Gorellas, etc, they ALL kill their own kind... Whats wrong with that? Now don't get me wrong, don't go shooting up your neighbors b/c they called the cops when you were playing CS with you 1000watt speakers at midnight. I'm simply saying the fact that homocide is common amounh all mammals.

To put it bluntly, It is unfortunate - that you are the man representing what modern games are, to the modern man.

 Human nature or not, It's the individual who must decide - We are not barbarians, not tigers, it is not our nature to kill other men, but our sad complexities which make us think that it might prove to a better end.

A person kills another, not the mouse button.

I voted for blood, mainly because the other choice was unconscionable.

Really it depends on the game. I have four games on my HD right now: SFC II, Empires at War, Freedom Force, Neverwinter Nights, and Dungeon Siege. Two have blood, two don't. I think blood is appropriate for games like NWN and Dungeon Siege, and especiallly for MOHAA. I don't think it would have worked in Freedom Force.

If it works for the game, use it; but don't throw it in gratuitously.

There is nothing wrong with violent games, if you can handle them, certain people who play violent games shouldn't have ever been born in the first place and end up being deranged psychopaths.

I've been playing violent games since I was 8, and I consider myself normal, I could never kill anyone in real life, a game is a game, and its nothing like reality, that's why I play them.

LOL! I'm sorry, I'm a radical. When I was writing this I was thinking of what that lady told me... She said that bloody | violant games cause people to become murderers... Sry if I got off at the wrong foot. Didn't mean to say that KILLING others is a GOOD thing.

I find psychopath to be a verry inappropriate term when refferign to people. Sanity is defined by the masses, and as you all know i think the masses are a pack of ignorant f*** wits.

At times I could kill someone (and i dont mean that metaphorically), not because of the influence of games, but because of the state of the world and the stupidity of those who live in it.

I dont consider myself 'average' i'd like to think im more intelligent and free thinking than that

When I was in college I took a class in theater arts and learned all about fake blood and gore. Since I had this experience I don't get reality confused when I blow someone up with a rocket, any more that I thought I was a real cowboy killing real indians (PC: aboriginal native dwellers) when I was a 6 year old.

Spare me....

Unless they try to ban games

I doubt that would happen in the UK, think, most youngsters coem into contact with computers through games, it is through these games they learn the rudimentays and basics of computers (how to turn it on, navigate to the .exe and run it etc) which then leads to more complex things. If they were to ban games many young chilren wouldnt bother with computers which would lead to a declien in ICT litteracy which would have a big impact on the ICT centred industry of the 21st century

BTW i do some voluntary work in a primary schoo nd its BLOODY AMAZING thelevel of ICT integration into the curriculum. Theyre all about 5 or 6 and they can independently go and start running their games or into paint and things with very little if any assistance

And in my day we had "through the dragons eye" on the bloody BBC :p
