I don't know whether to buy a SoundBlaster Live! Value or a SoundBlaster PCI512. I don't understand why the live value is supposed to be better. The PCI512 supports EAX but the live doesn't. Am I missing something or is the Live just over-hyped?

My brother had a 512 and his computer recognized it as a Live! Value and so he just downloaded the drivers for the Live and it worked fine. It even installed the liveware and he never had problems with it. I don't know if he was just lucky or what, but if you are looking to save a few bucks, it may be worth it, although and Value card shouldn't be more than $55 or so, so I'd still go for the live.
