I have a plain jane Logitech Wingman which has served me well in the past, but I haven't used it in a little over a year. Even then, I didn't use it very much. I'm not a serious "gamer", but occasionally I mess around with a few flight sims and driving/racing games.
However, when I decided to use the thing just the other day, I discovered that it will not work at all. I tried calibrating it, but I keep getting an error message stating that it is not "properly connected". It responds to the calibration test just about a second before that message pops up.
I've gone to System>Device Manager and removed/reinstalled it, but that has not helped. In addition, I have plugged the joystick up on a different computer and have gotten the same results.
Does anyone know what could be causing this and if it can be fixed? Or, is something wrong with the joystick? Is it something that can be repaired?
