You can take pieces out that show IE to the user, like iexplore.exe, but IE really is a part of the OS. The process that was come up with that claims to remove IE just removes the pieces the user sees... not the pieces the OS uses.

The short answer is... no.

every time i have tried to uninstall IE from the OS its cause crashes. its because MS has intergrated it in to the OS so deeply that any attempts to remove cause system instabliity. another great place to go to get stuff in Microsuck products is
