Hello I have got this problem that just came out of no where. I didn't do anything to cause it (I don't think).

I was trying to copy a cd and got the message "Adapte CD copier has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for the inconvenience."

Error Signature: AppName: cdopier.exe AppVer:5.1.0.50 ModName:Creator.dll ModVer:2.1.0.50 Offset:000039be.

What does this mean and how do I fix it? I've gone to the web site to ask them and they don't take questions, they just have a "Questions asked" page. They just don't help.

Isn't that how it is. Take your money and run.

I have windows XP and I uninstalled the software and reinstalled with no luck.

I would apperciate any help!
Thanks Kat

The first thing I had to do for Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 for XP was update it. You might give that a try.

Step one: uninstall EasyCd

Step two: Install Ahead Nero

Step 3: Throw Easy CD Creator CD around the house like a frisbee. Aim for the open trash can and maybe get lucky and hit it or the CD may even split in half.

Step 4: Never, ever have a problem again. Curse Roxie up and down. Burn CD's at the maximum burner speed and live happily ever after.

There is some updates that uninstall a back-up like program that didn't work, but I had to switch to Nero.

I liked Adaptec because I had it in win98 and was used to it. But the win2K version that Roxio developed (after buying out adaptec) just has too many problems. If they clean it up maybe I'll give them another chance.

Life and money are too short to deal with sloppy programing....

Either way Roxio bites.

AppVer:5.1.0.50

Go to the Roxio website and get the updates for the program. You are on the basic setup.

My thoughts on Nero.

It is the only burning program I have ever seen that will throw a buffer under run on a 15,000 rpm SCSI HDD. When doing a burn from SCSI HDD to a SCSI burner.
ROFLMAO. You keep Nero

I was an avid Roxio user and would confront anyone with a good fight! Ask AG!

I got a new CDRW that came with Nero 5, I avoided it for a while then tried it a few times. Now its all I use. I run Nero and Roxio on the same machine with no conflicts (XP Pro)! I have yet to go back to Roxio!

I would have to say Nero is a much better program!
