I just installed a new motherboard and processor on a 3 year old packard bell, connected everything, put the side back on and started up, it looks like windows is loading up normally then i get a blue screen saying a different thing every time (the only one i can remember off the top of my head is "IRQ_IS_EQUAL_OR_LESSTHAN" or something like that).

Right now i have nothing plugged into the pci slots, im just using all the onboard things and i only have a small 4.1 gb hard drive and an 52X cd burner installed on it. It also has 256MB sdram.

I really wish i could tell you what board it was but im at school right now and i dont exactly have it memorized.

Also, when i try to boot from the windows xp cd it will sometimes(not always) give me the Bsod saying nothing but "And Error Occured, Please restart your computer".

Does anybody know what could be causing this?

In the past I have found that WinXP sometimes does not like to be moved, in that I mean if you take a HDD with XP on it from one system and try to get it to boot in another system you get blue screened. The same applies for major componant changes in the origional system ie...Motherboard, although I have found this to happen occasionally it is not consistant. The only remedy I have found is to boot from CD and reinstall overtop of old OS. you will not loose any data just a freshening up of the system files.

Hope this helps... :-)
