Can anyone point me in the right direction please.
Im trying to find out if my Silicon image Sil 0680 ATA/133 controller card will run under Linux.
Ive searched high and low but cant find anything on it.

Your card will be supported in the low end graphics modes but the only way to see if it supports the high end modes is to install Linux and see if the drivers are built in. Try using a second hard drive to make it easy to uninstall Linux if you are not satisfied with the results.

If I remember rightly I had a hard time installing this contoller under windoze :( .It has both the HDD's running thru it and I think I had to load the driver from a floppy before I could access the HDD's so I guess with Linux the deal would be the same.I need the appropriate driver on a floppy not on the linux cd.
I really want to run Mandrake but it will cost $130AU to purchase it,which will be a kinda expensive way to find out that the controller wont run under Linux :mad: .
