Ok. Where to go now?
Startup program crashes system.
I have looked in:
1. autoexec.bat
2. config.sys
3. win.ini
load=
run=
4. system tray
5. Startup folder.
6. ????????????????
What's the next place to look?

If your running win98 click on Start->Run and type MSCONFIG. Look in the "startup" tab.

Thanks. I've looked there too.
Actually I'm looking for the registry location.

It's here:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run]
but that's exactly what Msconfig shows in "Startup".

Thanks for the key location.
I had read somewhere that there was another key that could cause a program not to show in MSCONFIG. The refrence said that to be sure of locating all the programs running at startup you must look at the registry. I Don't know this to be a fact or not as I have never seen them to be different, but to be sure.......
Again thanks for the key.
