Hello there,

Just wondering what the most efficient compression format is. I am transferring stuff from a computer using disks and every little bit extra I can get helps.

Rar seems to have a slight edge on Rar and cab's a slight edge again but thought I's ask to see if i'm missing a good one out there.

btw using a win32 system

Sorry bout the title of the post makes me look like some kid trying to get info for a school essay.

What I was really looking for is the best general compression program. Is winzp, winrar, or the newer winace?

Anyone? or do I have to download all the demos and test them all myself? http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

ARJ is the best compression hands down, but the interface is definetly better on WinZip and WinRAR...
