When windows (this is for xp and 2000 ) starts a lot of services start, like "Secondary Logon" which allows you to be logged on but run a program under another logon account.
Abselutly useless even for the advanced user and a security hole propably. Anyway one you can disable.
With these you will save memory, windows will start quicker and your system will run faster.
