I have never done this before, using my modem to receive a fax, or send for that matter. My computer came without a manuel or disk for the modem. Do I need seperate software? Do I go off line? Please directed me to any areas for instructions. Thanks

You need a fax program.
You cannot be online to send or receive.
Any good fax prog will have all the instructions, or get MSFax from a Win95 CD, it works in 98, 98SE, and ME as well.
