I have many many many problems with my Gateway. I finally called and they told me to send it in for repairs. Of course my software warranty ran out after 30 days and because i have the deluxe model i couldn't renew the warranty. That makes no sense to me but anyway.... Then i talked to someone who actually made sense. He told me he had 2 gateways and had to buy more Ram and a new video card so he could play games on it. I have a Gateway 500 SE deluxe. 64 MB, 7.5 GB. My question is what kind of memory do i need DRAM, SDRAM... I am so totally new at this stuff. Any one have any other suggestions? Sorry this is so long im extremely frustrated, stressed.....The only reason i bought this computer was to play games on and i haven't been able to play even one. HELP

It looks like you have on board video so
you need a PCI video card and your board
uses SDRAM.I found out here: http://www.gateway.com/support/product/PC/2800050/280005013.shtml

Well I think I can help you.If youe are running Windows 98 then right click on My computer, then click properties then click the tab up top that says Device Manager, then scroll down click on display adapters, when you do this it will tell u what kind of video card you have. Then you can go to
<A HREF= "http://www.pricewatch.com" TARGET=_ blank>www.pricewatch.com</A>
and get a geforce 2 mx for real cheap or get a geforce2 gts which is better and will cost a little more only about 129 for the card.
