Hi all. I just installed a game to see what is was like. Needless to say, I'm not WOWed by it and want to remove it.
There is no uninstall program.
Now if I just delete the directory, how do I clean up the registry? How do I know which .dll files were associated with it? I've never really played around in there so I don't want to make the first time a nightmare.

Even when there is no specific Uninstall icon in the program group for the game, you should be able to use the Add/Remove program feature in the Windows Control Panel. This will remove the system of any files and registry entries that the application installed and created.
I'm not sure what will happen with the uninstall process if you've deleted files manually, however. Sometimes the process will halt if things it expects to be there are gone...

Yeah, unfortunately there isn't a nice way to delete this game.
AG, thanks for the info... hopefully my first venture into my registry won't be a disaster:D
Following your instructions, can I just delete the company name (are they directories?), or must I go in to the actual game sub-directory and remove everything?
**Need to pull out my old Win 2000 cert book I guess....where did I put that??**

I usually do a search in regedit for company name/developer and title.
Some games doesn't write to the registry.
Have you tried JV16 powertools to see if it's in the list ??

download a registry cleaner. they're all over the place, and most are free from what i've seen.
