I have a gateway performance 500. 500 mhz, 20G, TweakUI, UMBCI.sys, Various system.ini tweaks, and whole bunch of space eating programs! I recently upgraded from 256mb to 512mb of RAM..... everything has slowed down...... Is this too much?
All your newly purchased RAM being eaten by Vcache, in other words, Windows allocates more available memory for caching purposes. I'm using Cacheman (http://www.outertech.com) defined for PowerUser, (I have 256 MB RAM), and all my troubles seems so far away ... it will work also for you ...
Best Regards ...

Thanx.... I finally figured it out... I"m familiar with vcache and what it can opr CANNOT do........lolol It seems that, after doing a few diagnostics.. the motherboard only supports 384...... I took a 128 stick out and everything is fine...... tried it in different slots too..... just must've been too much... I tried cacheman...... it works for some apps but not for all..... ( at least for what i'm doing).. thanks again for the tip and be good!!!!! BYE
