My fonts dissapeared!!

Hi, i have office 2000 installed, so i decided to install new fonts onto my win98.
I installed about 700 or 800 extra fonts, but when i open Word2000 i only have Times New Roman and Plotter.
When i open other programs, including excel or powerpoint (components of office) i have all my fonts back. The problem is only on Word.

What can i do to get back my fonts to word?
Any idea? thanks in advance.

Well... this is wierd. Yesterday on the radio, I heard a computer talk show and they were discussing problems with excess fonts.
Their explanation didn't make any sense to me, but maybe it will help you. Oh, by the way, specifically they were talking about Macintosh machines. (yuck).

They said many people download a ****-load of fonts because they easily have enough disk space... but they don't have enough RAM to actually use them.

Maybe MS Word itself fills your memory and doesn't leave room for the fonts... Or maybe (and probably)this is just me guessing totally wrong. I'm not going to pretend I know... Because honestly, I don't know jack about how RAM works (or doesn't work)... I'm just tellin ya what I heard.
