I just got an e-mail from www.xdrive.com (http://www.xdrive.com) that they are upgrading to "Plus" services and discontinuing the free one. I had free 100MB on xdrive.com.

Can anyone suggest a reliable online storage site with at least free 100MB?

Did anyone have any experience with My-files.de/com or Myspace.com?

Thanks http://www.sysopt.com/forum/redface.gif)

Just found www.zden.com. (http://www.zden.com.) It's a European company and offering 500 MB for free to first 300,000 subscribers.

Anybody knows anything about them? How reliable are they?

The day of the "free" anything are almost over. Get what you can while you can.

I just tried Myspace.com, zden.com and briefcase.yahoo.com

Myspace.com seems to be the slowest! I couldn't even upload the files and gave up after several attempts!

zden.com and yahoo are comparable in file transfer speed, though yahoo seems generally speedier refreshing the web pages. But zden.com gives you 500MB when Yahoo.com only 25MB!

And by the way, in case anybody signs up for zden.com, please mention my ID (99712) as a referer. That will earn me some "Zees" http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Here's the link: http://www.zden.com/Signup.asp?ID=99712

Thanks http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

What type of files are you storing? You can store up to 3GB of mp3s (and I think other types of multimedia files) at www.myplay.com (http://www.myplay.com) for free.

I already have an account with Myplay.com
Unfortunately they allow only .mp3 files to be uploaded. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

Maybe you could zip up a bunch of files you want to store, then rename the zip file *.MP3. Or does their software check to see if it's a real mp3?

Two more are www.bravenet.com (http://www.bravenet.com) and www.freedrive.com. (http://www.freedrive.com.) Bravenet actually uses freedrive, but you get more free storage.

X-Drive and I parted ways about 8 months ago when I couldn't up-load without it failing 75% of the way through. I had some trouble up-loading to Bravenet/Free Drive about 4 months ago, but I haven't tried since then. (I haven't had anything I wanted to store since then.)

Thanks for the replies http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif

Just wanted to let you all know that Yahoo.com has re-designed its Briefcase and increased to 30MB. I like it http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif and it seems even little faster.
