MP3 to WAV

[trouble]

Just after some advice on MP3 conversion.
What do you think is the best software to convert MP3 to WAV?
Have been using Musicmatch but I am not that happy with the results.

What do you mean with your not happy with the results.

I personally have the Musicmatch Plus and I think it's great.
Haven't had any trouble converting files.

Ripping of audio cd's to mp3 is really fast too.

i'll keep them on MP3

.WAV eats like 5 times the amount of Space a MP3 file will use

so a 3 meg .mp3 can turn into as large as 15 meg .wav

so no no,, too much of a wasted space

If you really need .wav's for some reason, I like to use Simple Mp3 4.5

Nero has some built in file encoding that I use all the time.

he wants to Decode the mp3 to wav

not wav to mp3 or wav to cd

so i dont think nero works here :p

I never see much being said about Easy CD Creator 5 Platinum. That's all I use. You can convert a music file any way you want. You can aslo edit movies , photos,
burn DVD's ,copy CD's and more. I think it's the best program there is:D

Use dbpoweramp music converter. It's rather quick and simple to use. Converts from mp3 to wav to wma... all on your right click.

Thanx everyone,
Reason for mp3 to wave is one of my kids went thru my collection and picked out about 8 discs worth of songs that he wants to play on a portable cd player is all.I also onvert them occasionally so I can play them on my home system.

Will have a look at all the progs that have been suggested.
BTW,I have Nero as well and it wont do the job,will work from wav to mp3 though.

You're wrong. It works just fine.

Also, you don't need to convert the files to WAV before making an audio disc. Just pick the mp3s you want and "burn audio disc." At least with Nero, anyway. And its done that for every version I've ever used.

btw, the onloy point in changin mp3 2 wav is comnpatibility - most hifis cant play mp3

converting to wav will not increase quality - when mp3 looses the bits u cant hear, u cant just magic them back

you can use nero to both burn mp3's into wavs on a cdr or you can convert them from mp3's to wav and still keep them on the hdd by burning them to an image drive.

Are you using windows xp? If so, windows has built in conversion to wav from mp3.
