Upcoming Video Cards ~

Hmmm, I was going to buy a good video card for my new computer, wondering which one to get 9700 or 4600, or should i wait til the new line of video cards come from ATi and nVIDIA what good video cards are coming out anyways? heard something about nvidia FX or sumting...whats ATi up 2? Any other news about technology? :t :t for now ;)

Get a Ti4400 and save your money. No one needs the features that these new cards come with. Heck, my old GF2 GTS still rocks.

They are having serious thermal issues with all of the new cards (the ATi less so). They will all be taking up two slots in the future. :(

dont waste your money on a 9700 or 4600. the high end in my view is still the ti4200 or the radeon 9500. But as BPB said the older cards still pack a punch today. i have a radeon 7500 in this one and i can still play all the games out today and i got the card for £30.

Heck my bro has a Radeon VE card and a Xp1600 and he plays Battlefield 1942.

I would go for either Ti4200,Radeon 9000 Pro if you want to spend a bit

Like Bill says a ti4400 or a ti4200 will be okay for now, then if and when the FX comes out start looking toward the R9700 which will fall in price

There is all this bull**** going on about how the nvidia FX is gonna suck and ati is gonna dominate the nvidiaFX anyone know what Ati is gonna come up with to take over graphic technology once again? Well im going to wait until Ati new graphic technology comes out, then buy the 9700, im gonna stick with my Ati Radeon 32mb SDR, hah.

Just out of curiosity, what's the name of that scandinavian video card company that has been going to make some killer video card that wastes nvidia and ati (and 3dfx at the time) for the last 5 years or so?


I would get a good 128mb ti4200 or a radeon 9500. :)

I'd wait until the FX comes out in Feb that will decrease the prices of current geforce 4 cards and possibly make the Radeon 9700 pro lower its prices to make more people buy it ... the Radeon 10,000 also comes out around that time
