Alright, dont get too mad at me if this is in the wrong spot, but it is a technical issue that doesnt look to be covered in the topics below.
I have a little problem with a messy case, there are always wires everywhere and it looks so sloppy and messes with the air flow.
For example, I would never get the inside of my case to look like this... without using duct tape that is.

How do you guys do it? What are some of your techniques? Thanks.

Cable ties. You know, those plastic strips with a hole in one end that you tuck the other end into, and it will only tighten due to the riged edge. What cops use when they're out of handcuffs. Bundle your wires together with them.
Also, you could buy rounded IDE cables to replace your ribbons.

Yeah, I do that with the ties, but then they just hang everywhere in the way of fans and everything else, so in my last computer I built I was having heat problems so I ended up duct taping all the cables to sides of the case. They were tied and everything, but they are so long that they were hanging everywhere and also if i tied them up together to make them shorter then it would be like 4 or 5 inches wide! You guys dont tuck them special places somehow? Thanks.

Whenever possible I route wires behind stuff so they're not visible. The motherboard can conceal many things, as can empty drive bays. :)

I always see those purple things around the back fans... are they to help make the fans more quiet? Thoes pictures BTW are awesome, I need to try harder next time!

The purple things are just easy mount fan clips. They do nothing for fan performance, just easy of use. They come with all chieftec/antec case.
I might paint mine black to look cooler. :)

oh ok. I always thought they were to make the fans silent. All the computers i ever had before i started building my own never had those easy mounts.

Cut the long ends off the ties.
