When i go to add remove programs it shows demos and other things that have already been removed. When i try to uninstall it from add remove it says unable to find uninstal something or other. I search with the find program to look for any files that could be remaining for that program but it finds nothing i really want to remove the programs from the add remove screen any ideas?
Thanks

Use Tweak Ui to remove it from the menu. From Tweak Ui:
Right-click an entry in the list of programs to view a menu of options.
Removing the entry from the Add/Remove list merely prevents the item from appearing in the Add/Remove dialog box. Any software associated with the program remains installed.
Regcleaner at: http://www.jv16.org/ will remove
it as well from the menu.

Hi,
If for any reason any of the registry cleaner programs won't help you, go to the following registry location:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Microsoft, Windows, Uninstall

Double-click on the Add/Remove applet displayed program you want to delete and have a look at what is inside (right panel). Typically there will be, under Name 'DisplayName' - delete it by highlighting and deleting by right-click deleting. That should be all that is needed. Reboot. There may be other entries that may no longer be required by you but have not been removed for whatever reason. If you are satisfied, that no harm will come to your system look under Uninstall from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, Software, Microsoft, Windows, Uninstall, highlight the program entry that no longer resides on your machine, right-click and delete. Reboot.

Registry Cleaner and Registry Healer should be ok. Bare in mind any program used to clean a registry is at the users risk. Ensure that you have backed up your data, have the latest EBD and snapshot prior to cleaning if you have programs such as ConfigSafe (www.configsafe.com) or GoBack (www.roxio.com). Prior to any major changes, but minor ones to, I always make sure I can get back in using these programs and the measures mentioned above. These are some suggestion that might help you out.

All the best,
G
