Hello sorry to bother you all so much with this but the soudn card is the last thing I need to replace to have my dream machine (well that and teh video card but I'll get that when my refund check comes!)

Anywho I am totaly confused as to what sound card I should get now. It is narrowed down to a SB Live! (but stumped as to what flavour I should get), a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz or a Diamond MX400.

I want it mainly for gaming and music with a little bit of recording. I have an Abit KT7A-RAID mobo so it has the VIA chipset. And it must support at least 4 speakers (6 would be nice like the Santa Cruz has) I have a Turtle Beach sound card now and would probably keep it if it didn't support just 2 speakers.

I didn't see any user reviews for the Santa Cruz in the ur section. Anyone have this card adn want to comment? I[ve read that some ppl with VIA chipsets have crackles in their recordings with the SB cards.

Oh and I'd rather not pay over $100. I don't care about the software bundles too much or at least not the games like the SB X-Gamer.

Danke

Well, the Soundblaster Live X-Gamer 5.1 and MP3 5.1 are the same card with different software bundles. The 5.1 cards run 4 satellites, 1 center, and 1 sub which will total 6. The cards have outputs for the front channels, rear channels, and Spdif (which is for digital out).
The turtle beach cards are some pretty nice cards too. I was thinking of getting one to put replace my old soundblaster awe64.
