I'd like to hear from anyone who has experienced either video or system lock up
using the VIA chipset with the Diamond Stealth Video Card and Windows 98.
I understand the VIA chipset is intended for
high speed devices, is that correct?

Thanks

I believe I have the 2.28 4-in-1 drivers on a WIN2k machine with a V3 3000 AGP. I get video lockups occasionally since a few days ago... I think it's more because of the heat (warmer weather) though... didn't have problems for a month or so after I installed these 2.28 drivers.

hi there in relation to your post i have the same problem on my pentium 3 800 locks up some times every 10 minutes i have had it back and forth to supplier and they have now replaced cpu ram video card sound card two network cards (i run two), and they have also replaced the mother board locks up under 98se and 2000.
i am not sure if it is a hardware incompatibility or what i have spent countless hours trying to reslove the issue msce people have looked and still no good.
best of luck.

I had a similar problen working with a Matrox video card. It turned out there was an incompatibly with the Diamond Multimedia sound card I had and the SOYO SY-K7VIA (133) chipset. Something to do with the S-3(?) chip on the sound card was causing video problems. If you have a sound card with this chip let me know and I will dig deeper.
I put in a Sound Blaster and all was well.
