NEW Pop ups - solutions?

I've encouter 2 types of new pop ups lately, apparently pop up stopper doesn't work for these. Unlike the original pop ups they don't use a new browser window. Instead they appear inside your current browser. I've destinctively remember seeing one on dictionary.com a while back.

Another type is a messenging service that appears like a windows screen message. The kind you get when you delete a file and it asks for confermation

Any programs that will get rid of these.... yet?

I have seen some "pop ups" that were flash running on their own layer in the webpage and the only way I could think to stop this would be to get rid of flash but I don't like that trade off.

I'm sure if we sit tight someone will figure a way out of this one.

Incidently they were some pretty cool ads, nice animation, and they all had a cancel button.

Kill the messenger service ads by setting the Messenger Service to manua/ in Administrative Tools > Services.

true, but sometimes I just don't want to watch them... you know what I mean, haha
