yes, it took two months but the day is nearly here!

changed a few things from the original plan(no rdram, different mobo)

here she is

asus p4pe
2.53(next weeks purchase)
512 corsair 2700
fortissimo III(i'm not into uncreative labs)
intellimouse 3
finally found a m$ black keyboard
us robotics modem(i to love analog)
wd 80gb special edition
lite on 48x12x48(mainly to back up some files to tranfer to new pc)

already had the sony 17' trinitron
using a pair of audio-technica headphones
already had a ati 8500 128meg(i'll let the vid card wars go on and decide about upgrading later)

i'm so excited, i feel like a ten year old again

upgrading from a pII350, 128 pc100, voodooII(12meg), 8.6gb seagate, sb live, this is going to be badass!

thanks for letting me toot my horn! somehow my wife doesn't seem as excited.....he he he

cheers
mike

That's a sweet upgrade. Like a zillion times faster that your old PII. You've waited patiently for this, held back the urge to splurge a long time I bet? So you have done well my boy, it's your turn, don't let your wife get you down about it :D Enjoy this sucker! Now just go slow putting it together so it don't all go up in smoke

Gonna overclock? I bet that 2.53 might hit 2.8 or 3 g or something huh? I haven't kept up with P4 scene myself, not since I switched to Athlon. Have fun and report back.

nice one!!! i bought everything seperatly and upgraded over time  well 1 year and 4 months to have my end product.
the money is well spend and that machine will last you 3 years for gaming..................

(*****ING MODE)
compared to those $500 leather boots which you can walk in for 5 months and then there are done for. Or that nice handbag for $1000 which will break after a few months if you but anything slightly heavy in it

my g/f looks at those things and dreams about it and when i walk into a shop which sells stuff like that the first thing i always say is "I could build a bloddy computer with that money "

thank god i cant (and she) afford it. (but her mum buys her somethimes expensive stuff)

i can only shake my head
