winfire dsl?

my brother used my credit card to get on winfire. he recently moved and doesnt need the service anymore. im looking for the website or a phone number so i can cancel the service. it seems that the websites winfire.com and freedsl.com no longer work.

Winfire is a SCAM! Look over on at dsl reports. every review is not good or bad.

you may be under a 1 Yr contract that if its violated..200 dollar contract cancelantion http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

I don't know about a scam - I used Winfire dialup free for about 6 months while awaiting a free dsl connection that never came. Actually they went out of business several months ago but they did give good warning to users so hopefully you never got charged or are no longer being charged

i totally forgot about dls reports. it turns out that they are dead. funny how my credit card got billed anyway.

Northpoint Communications provided the actual DSL service for WinFire, among others. Northpoint went bankrupt last month and left several hundred thousand people hanging, including MSN customers.

But WinFire sounded too much like the old @Biggernet, one of the original 'one-time' fee ISPs.
