Yeah where I live, last night one guy got blinded by having a cigarette put out in his eye, & the perps carried on to beat him to such an extent that surgeons are putting titanium plates in his head......... (Guess he'll be ok 4 next time then) :rolleyes:

Aparently a gang of 10/12 youths went on the rampage & burned a number of people in the eye area with cigarettes & then carried on to bash em' half to death.......

The anti-cerb crawling "Vice" people advised a major increase in arrests over the 24 hr period :rolleyes:

& you guys wonder why we don't have or need guns in the community.........

I for one am really pleased they a very few & far between )-|

Well depends on how ya look at it. Sheesh. I mean if the second or first victom had a gun took out the moroonic peeps they wouldnt have gotten the chance to attck again be left loose then do it again and again time and time again. You know even if they catch'em twont be long till they are free. Under 18 and all.:rolleyes: If they would have even thought one of those victoms was armed they woulda thought twice. 1st off I have a full carry permit, and carry a sig-sauer 220 w/ tritium night sights and a laser sight built into the frame where the return spring cap goes. It's far from a hunting weapon. They don't just hand out carry permits to anybody that can fork over the $$. In NY state they take a good hard look at who gets them and who doesnt. and if you have any sort of violent or felonius record all bets are off.
There will be no midnight home invasions where I live, nor will I be a victim for some idiot out to make his bones in some gang or feed his or her drug habit by taking whats not theirs.
I'm sure the people that live in states with the "make my day" laws sleep alot sounder at night.
There are plenty of combat firearms in the UK, unfortunately the only people that have them are law enforcement, military, and criminals. And if guns were outlawed here again only cops, soldiers, and criminals would have them. Bullets and knives and other infernal devices don't slow down and wait for the local police to show up before the do their harm. The only thing outlawing guns would do is make criminals out of people seeking to protect their loved ones, and victims out of those who would obey such laws.
Had some cretin tried to extinguish a cigarette in either my 7 year old childs eye or mine, and then proceed to beat us to death, you can rest assure I would have given them the gift of a .45 cal black talon slug or two, and the next person in line to be used as an ashtray and punching bag would have been spared the drama.

How'd you get a concealed carry permit? I thought they were really picky about giving them out. :confused:

I have no criminal record. At the time I worked for a compnay where I made large cash deposits at their bank for them. I carry a sheild with the state of new york seal on it because I'm an EMT. I took the needed courses. And had a hunting and target permit prior to that. I've been licensed to carry since I left the military in 1982. Luckily in the over 22 years I've been carrying I've never had to draw my weapon in self defense. Wish I could say the same for the time I was in the service.

i also have a SiGsaeur 220 with hard rubber bullets. they wont kill unless you shoot them in the eye or neck, but it hurts so much to the point the person would think it was a real bullet and flee in panic.
I dont think i'd have the gut to fire a real bullet into someone, but hard rubber is good enough.

Some years ago I spent a fair amount of time in NY City on business. By chance I happened to ride the subway a week before the Bernard Getz incident. Before the shooting, the subway was an absolute zoo, after everyone was sitting quietly observing their fellow passenger not knowing if maybe they were armed and dangerous. Graphic example of correcting an out of hand situation yourself. The police and subway cops had totally ignored a bad situation until it had become a jungle.

i'm getting a permit when I turn 21, and what am I going to carry? Either a .45 or a .357, all hollowpoints.

Teens like those ought to get shot, I don't care how young they are. They put a cig' out on someone's eye. Blow their knee caps off so that they will remember what they did and the punishment for it, for the rest of their lives.


I for once have seen people gang up on teens who try to do stuff like that, and it isn't pretty.

To be honest with you, where my parent's are from. If I see a kid misbehaving in public, I have the right to dicipline him, but not beat him. In other words. If I see some kid destroying some public property, I can have him clean the streets. And at times their parents will ask you for help if they can't control the kid because they are stronger than them or they are too old. That's when you can take out your belt and beat him straight.

It really pisses me off when I hear about how some teens bashed and brutally beat an inocent bystander. That's when my care goes down the drain, and seeing the turd suffer comes in mind.

problem is, if you shoot 'em in the kneecap , you may damage their artery, and they may die from blood loss. then you killed someone, which isn;t so good on the mind, since you have to live with the fact.
whereas if you have hard rubber bullets, the gun is a suitable deterent, and it will hurt lots, leave a big bruise on impact, and they subject will think he got shot by a real bullet; fleeing in panic.
and whereas if you carry a clip of blanks, what happens when you bumb into a thug with a real gun? is he going to give you time to switch magazines to FMJ rounds? dont think so. hard rubber will make it seem as if he was shot by a real bullet.

then again, if someone took out my eyes with a cigarrete and a gang beat me half to death,... i dont know what i;d do. probably call up my freinds and get them back the same way.

The only problem here in the USA is that if you need to defend yourself, and you only cause permenant injuries that would later impede your assailents ability to secure gainful employment (yeah like he's going to go and get a job in the IT field) the miscreant and some blood sucking personal injury lawyer will sue you and more than likely be awarded some sort of payment.
Do you know that burgurlars have actually litigated and been awarded money for getting injured in the house or premises they were tresspassing in. ie; shot but not killed, or just tripped on something and hurt their back.
And because negligence was proven in the court case the insurance companies had a way out of paying on the homeowners policy.

Because I'm an emt I have alot of exposure to the local law enforcement officials around here. Most of them know I carry, and the advise most of them have given me is that if I have to shoot a person in defense make sure that the injury is fatal so the cretin doesnt come back and sue me, or rile up his other cretin buddies to come after me for revenge.

i wish the criminal code imvolved hard labour or something similar to what the USSR had. hell i wouldnt care if those bastards got deported to siberia for 20 years of hard labour, if they blind me and beat me half to death , i wouldnt care if they died there.

dude, I agree with you.

I honestly am the type of person who doesn't have a problem to kill anyone especially if they try to assault me. I would be the first guy to pull the trigger.

And if I did get an eye put out because of a cigarette. I would hunt that person down, tie him up and call up a good friend of mine who's a surgeon and have him take out his eye and put it on me, all while i'm under antistetics, and he's not :D

then I would have fun putting out my cigar on that bad eye. why? because I would start cutting body parts off while having them caterize at the same time and feed it to him. :x

That's Bullsh**. :mad: A sue happy country where the crook is viewed as the disadvantaged one :mad: and gets his payment while the homeowner has to battle it out with the insurance company to get compensation for his or her losses! :mad: The fact that their insurance company has to "compensate" the crook makes them that much more reluctant to insure the homeowner! :mad:

My uncle owns a couple of rifles as he used to live in Kenya and as far as burgulary went the norm was that burgulars would ALWAYS kill the occupants of the house during the burgulary. Pretty bad stuff i know, but in those circumstances guns are vital.

I was once around their house and they recieved a phone call, one of their former servants serving as another house had been shot dead during a robbery at her employers home, worse still was she was pregnant at the time :(

Back in england it also prevented his house from being burgled once more as the scum were ransacking the place and found the gun's, they s*** theyre whack and took off leaving all the loot behind.

Despite the evils guns can cause, one has to remember its people that kill not guns. IF the person is 'good' then they should have the right to bear arms
