I need some help from the audiophiles in the Sysopt familyteam. I just picked up a pair of Bose 151 speakers on clearance ($62 US.) I plan on connecting them to my PC's (2) using a line amp for power (the guy at the store was real helpful, suggested that if i hooked them to my comp "it may not have enough power so they will be real quiet" ummmm this I knew ;-). Does anyone know of a compact Amplifier, decent quality with a reasonable price? I know I could pick up a secondhand amp cheap, but they tend to big the big, showy 80s style, like we are using at work. More than one input would also be very very nice.....

Well, if you're like me and have a true love for music and sound, then get an AV Reciever like I did. I don't have too much money so I only got 100W(RMS)x2, but for a computer system thats pretty powerful. I paid roughly $100 for it. You can easily switch between sorces. And you can really crank up the volume...

There are very few bad amps out there so
my advice is to see what amps or receivers
are on sale in your area in your price range.
A receiver is nice because it gives you AM and FM radio wile you work on your puter.

Radio Shack has a small stereo "no frills" amp that would serve nicely. I think it has three inputs.
But hook them directly to the 'puter first, you might be surprised. Some sound cards put out a couple of watts, and that's enough sometimes.
